Well E3 is just around the corner and once again the industry has failed to invite me. But that won’t stop me from speculating on what it will most likely entail. This is a list of what I think will be at E3 and also what I hope will be shown at E3. Incidentally I don’t think the two will be much related.

It’s been a few years since Capcom has graced us with a console Resident Evil game. In fact the past few years have moved further and further away from what I loved most about the franchise. Resident Evil 5 had African parasites; mercenaries had the small 3DS screen to contend with and Darkside Chronicles…. Well, that was on the Wii. So I was more than a little excited to see a new squad based resident evil game where you actually kill zombies, and lots of them. I mean I liked Left for Dead, and I like Resident evil, so how bad could it be?

At the very end of 2007’s Chasing Ghosts Documentary there is a touching scene where Walter Day sends in his referee jersey to the Smithsonian institute’s video game history collection. The movie promptly fallows with the sentence “that collection doesn’t exist.” Today it does. Starting March 16 and running through September 30 the 3’rd floor north of the Smithsonian will be playing host to an exhibit titled The Art of Video Games.

How many times in our lives have we had a console game that we wish we could still play on the go. There have been many innovative takes on this desire, but my favorite has got to be the Sega Nomad.

People tend to examine the soundtracks to video games to no end. Whether they add to the ambiance, what songs might have worked better, why cant all songs in every video game just be "the final countdown," that sort of thing. So instead of attempting to care about that I thought I would just put up a list of video game themed songs. This is not a "top list," they are in no particular order, they are not the best examples out there, they just happen to be songs that I enjoy and just another way I can tie in in one passion to another.
